News:- Domestic Postal Rates Increased - New Zealand Post has increased the price of the standard domestic letter by 5 cents to 50 cents (Incl GST) from 1 June 2007. The cost of sending business/bulk mail, which was increased last year, has not been affected by this increase. This means that it is even more important to ensure that your data is post coded as the price to send the equivalent letter via bulk mail can save senders up to 13c per letter. For C4 letters, which have increased to $1.00, up to 27c can be saved by post coding your data. PINK TURNS ORANGE

Orangebox has scored a major coup with the appointment of Tricia Pink as their GM in Auckland.  Already a major force in the Wellington market, Orangebox brought their special brand of service to a very receptive Auckland in 2008 and things are going, well, just a little bit ballistic.

Orangebox partner Thomas Subritzky says, "We had been looking for someone with a real X factor for some time to manage our Auckland office - someone who shares our ethic for exceptional service and who can build strong and lasting relationships with our rapidly growing Auckland client base.  We finally managed to prise Tricia away from Mailshop where she was Business Strategy Manager, and are just so excited about taking the business forward with her."

Co-partner Stephen Bennett, who always wants the last word, agrees,  "Orangebox loves direct - we aim to be the best and everything we do reflects that.  Tricia shares our vision and I can't wait to have her up and running."

Tricia started at Orangebox on August 16th. tricia@orangebox.co.nz, telephone

OLD DOG, NEW TRICKS

Orangebox, established in Wellington in 2003 has taken ownership of Cummings, established in 1967.

Cummings was one of New Zealand’s first mail houses, started well before anyone had heard of databases and a time when mail outs involved dropping off a typewriter, envelopes and the Yellow Pages for someone to type directly onto the envelopes.

Orangebox has been looking to expand to Auckland for some time and this opportunity gives them the chance to blend one of the industries oldest mailhouses with one of the newest.

Orangebox have already developed a strong customer base in Auckland but have been servicing this from Wellington, so the move was crucial to being able to deliver a high level of service in both Auckland and Wellington.

Directors Thomas Subritzky and Stephen Bennett say that Orangebox intends focusing on direct mail and customer communications which has been so successful in Wellington. They believe that it is not so much the production machinery that you have that makes for a good mail house (rest assured, they have this in place too) but that a high level of service and expertise is the key.

Thomas has already moved to Auckland to run the new operation which opened in September and Stephen will be heading the Wellington office.

If you would like more information about the move or for any general enquiries, contact Thomas Subritzky in Auckland, 09 415 3699, email thomas@orangebox.co.nz and Stephen Bennett in Wellington, 04 939 4439, email stephen@orangebox.co.nz or visit us online at www.orangebox.co.nz
